After 69 days trapped undergroud, the Chilean Miners have been rescued - all 33 of them.
Media coverage celebrated the triumph of the human spirit and the realisation that humans can be a lot more resilient than we ever imagined.
The one whom I most most interested to see come into the light was Johnny Barrios Rojas. He gained notoriety as the man whose double life was exposed while he was stuck miles underground; with both his wife of 28 years and his mistress of 4 years holding vigils for him at the mine site. Initially the women did not realise they were praying for the same man, but when they did, as you can imagine, it was not pretty.
And today, when Johnny was rescued and emerged rather sheepishly, it was his mistress who was there waiting for him.
I really hope the world media outlets do some sort of follow up on this story, as I would love to know what ends up happening in this love traingle.
